Yamaha YZ description

Yamaha 1974 YZ 250A First year that Yamaha made the famous yz motocross bikes.
The bike starts and runs shifts thru all gears, clutch works good. Starts first or second kick most of the time, has good compression.
I do not know much history on the bike was a barn find. It had a 19 inch front wheel and flat track bars on it when i got it. I found a original front wheel for it. It is missing front brake lever and cable. The number plates are missing, has wrong muffler on it. Bike is mostly all stock i see someone put a decompression release on it probably for braking.Seat has a tear in it you can see it in one of the pictures. Tank is dent free except very small pin size ding also in a picture. Hard to find airbox is intact, fenders are not cracked but striping is coming off the rear fender. Rear shocks have damping, front forks are spongy probably oil has leaked out. It is a number matching bike! 431-001709
Please only bid if you have the funds to buy it. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and costs.
You can reach me at 616-881-6052 or email me with questions.
I live just north of grand rapids mi close to a major expressway  US131
This bike is not a show piece but a good survivor worthy of restoration or vintage motocross race bike
Very hard to find model only made a few of them. I have no title for it, Michigan did not issue a title for dirt bikes in 1974 just registrations, will furnish bill sale.

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

When Yamaha unveiled its 50th anniversary edition red and white livery for its M1 MotoGP machines in May, one question came immediately to mind: when can we get the special edition R1? The red and white design was created to celebrate Yamaha‘s 50th year in Grand Prix racing. Yamaha factory racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies debuted the livery at the Assen round in June, which saw the American Spies nab his first a career MotoGP win.

Rich Oliver’s Mystery School Still Has Open Dates

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

Many roadracing champions will tell you that training in the dirt has helped them immensely in becoming the best rider they can be. The drastically reduced grip in the dirt makes a rider feel more comfortable on the street when one or both tires start slipping. At the Rich Oliver’s Mystery School, five-time 250cc champion, Rich Oliver, will teach you how to gain confidence on two wheels, all from the controls of a TTR125 Yamaha.

2021 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT First Ride - Video

Trizzle's thoughts, now in video form. Photos by Joseph Agustin | Videos by Ray Gauger and Sean Matic The definition of a sport-touring motorcycle has gotten a bit blurred lately with adventure-touring bikes encroaching on the space. A good bike in either genre agrees that you need to be able to pound out miles and do it in relative comfort.
