Yamaha XT description

2005 Yamaha XT 225 with all the factory options in 2005 including blacked out engine and rims, electric start, tool kit, and passenger handles.  

Garage kept, low miles, new battery, in very good condition.  Turn key and push start button, starts right up, has good power.   

It is ridden about once a month around the neighborhood, and then garaged,  I don't ride it much, or out of the neighborhood, so it has not been registered since 12/2013.  

Recent tune, new oil, filter, spark plug, air box cleaned, and new battery.  

Includes title, original manuals and literature, and hard to find service books.

Yamaha Reveals PES1 and PED1 Electric Prototypes

Yamaha is bringing two new electric motorcycle prototypes to the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show: the PES1 streetbike and the PED1 dirt bike. The nomenclature is a combination of the initials for Passion, Electric and Street for the street version and Dirt for the off-road model. Both prototypes are equipped with DC brushless electric motors powered by lithium-ion batteries.

Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.

Ex-racer Ben Bostrum might have stopped competing on motorcycles, but he hasn't given up his passion for two wheels. He's teamed up with motorsports promoter M1 to create Ben Bostrom Events, a company that plans to host world-class cycling and running races across the US. According to a press release, the high-intensity events will feature an 'entertainment-filled atmosphere', combining many of the familiar elements found at other MOB (mud, obstacles, beer) racing events.
