Yamaha XT tech info
Yamaha XT description
I’ve had this motorcycle since around 2004 but as you can tell by the mileage, don’t use it a whole lot each year. it usually just stays in the garage and only every once in a while i take it out for a spin. Now with a three year old I have even less of an opportunity to use it so it makes sense to make it available for someone else to enjoy. I’ve got a motorcycle helmet and Haynes manual that can go with the bike. This is a great on and off road motorcycle that is very nimble and can maneuver like a mountain bike through trails while having enough juice to run at highway speeds. I also have a motorcycle hauler that i’ve used with this bike that connects to a 2” hitch i have on my jeep and can carry the bike in the back. The price is without the carrier but if you’re interested in this as well, we can negotiate. Anyone interested in purchasing this item is MORE THAN WELCOME , and ENCOURAGED to come check it out in person BEFORE BIDDING as all sales are final, and the bike is being sold AS IS.
Buyer is responsible for picking up this item and for any associated sales tax, and or titling fee's. Will be a fun addition to the right home. Let me know if you have any questions. |

1974: Onboard an MV racer with Phil Read
Fri, 19 Feb 2010ANOTHER CRACKING BIT of vintage racing footage, this time featuring multiple motorcycle world champion Phil Read on the awesome-sounding MV Agusta 500-4.The footage is from the 1974 movie 'The Iron Horse' made by Frenchman Pierre-William Glenn.Read’s 1974 500cc World Championship victory was the last year a four-stroke won the world title before the advent of the MotoGP class in 2002. Giacomo Agostini won the crown from Yamaha in 1975, followed by Suzuki-mounted Barry Sheene in '76 and '77. The footage is bloody good, considering the camera technology of the day.
Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650
Thu, 25 Jul 2013Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 — according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.
Yamaha R1 rider lowsides on left-hander
Tue, 23 Mar 2010THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.
