Yamaha XS description
I am selling a 1983 Yamaha XS650 - Heritage Special with only 3,000 mis on it. IT IS NOT RUNNING, so it's a project bike for the right person.I purchased it in December as a winter project bike to restore, but I have not had any time or money to do anything with it. So it has just been sitting in my garage since then. I have provided pics below, if you need more specific pics, I am willing to text it to you. I also purchased a brand new exhaust system for it which I will include if I am paid the full price (firm). I also have a brand new Haynes Repair Manual I am going to throw in (see pic). I also have the side covers that say "Heritage Special" on them (though they are not pictured). Yes I do have the title. If you want a nice on-line resource for helping restore or build a bobber, chopper or cafe racer... there are a few that I usually use. www.OldBikeBarn.com and www.xs650.com.I look forward to your email. We can exchange numbers at that time if needed.(If you want to see my other Yamaha bike for sale, that is NOT a project bike, here is a link: http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/mcy/420XXXXXX.html)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOTE: I had a buyer on this bike but due to MANY inquiries, I cant find who it was (I do remember your name and where you were from, so if you're still interested please email me, thanx

Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.
Yamalube Motor Oil Video is Educational, British, and Brainwashing
Tue, 16 Jun 2009Yamaha Motor Europe have just posted a new video up on Youtube about their Yamalube motor oil and why you should use it on your Yamaha products. They are pretty damn convincing or very good at brainwashing! The video is pretty educational, explaining how motorcycle engines and car engines are very different, what a motorcycle engine really needs, and why Yamalube is very well suited for the job. Various graphs, charts, shots of scientists making oil, and the accented British narrator have further convinced me that I need to get Yamalube and perhaps even be adding it into my morning bowl of cereal.
