Yamaha XS description

This gorgeous XS 850 Special has only 5700 Miles and has been stored indoors its entire life! It's in beautiful condition, even the seat is original! Starts right up and runs great using either the kick or electric start.  I have refreshed the oil, forks have been rebuilt with new seals and oil, the carbs have been clean, brakes refreshed and rebuilt, cables replaced and a brand new AGM battery. It's registered till next year and has a clean CA title in hand. If I were going to put this back on the road I would definitely consider new tires and would perhaps upgrade the brake pads, though everything does work as it should and there are no modifications whatsoever to this bike. Very clean inside and out. Zero rust to be found even the inside of the tank is spotless. Please feel free to call me, Patrick, at 916-834-6415 if you have any questions about this sweet bike. I was thinking about making it into a cafe racer, but I figured with it being in such immaculate shape it might be better off in someones collection than for me to take the knife to it. Perfect example of a bulletproof powerful triple that is ready to hit the road. I am happy to assist the buyer with arranging shipping, but it will be at the buyer's expense. I have had a perfect track record using the site U-Ship so that is a good place to go if you've never had to move a bike.

Valentino Rossi Works at the Yamaha Offices when not Winning Everything

    Tue, 07 Jul 2009

Yamaha Motor Europe has recently posted up on YouTube a delightful video about their riders.  Their secret for being so good at what they do is that they totally immerse themselves in Yamaha by working at the Yamaha offices. Hilarity ensues. James Toseland works the mail room, while Colin Edwards does security, quoting Eric Cartman from a 10 year-old-South Park episode.  Jorge Lorenzo is washing windows and Valentino Rossi is working the front desk.

Yamaha Announces AMA Road Racing Teams For 2013

    Wed, 30 Jan 2013

Today, Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, has announced its U.S. road racing teams to compete in the 2013 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Racing season, which kicks off in March at the famed Daytona International Speedway.  Superbike In the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike division, Yamaha is fielding “Team Josh,” as three-time and defending class champion, Josh Hayes once again teams up with Josh Herrin, the 2012 AMA Rookie of the Year. Despite setting single-season records for the most SuperBike wins, the most consecutive SuperBike wins, and the most SuperBike poles, the elder Josh hasn’t lost any of his competitive fire. During the off-season, Josh signed a two-year contract to stay with Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha because he loves the team and he still feels that he’s got a lot of unfinished business to attend to.
