1979 YAMAHA XS650 SPECIAL BRAT CAFE MOTORCYCLE. WAS A PROJECT THAT HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR YEARS, DID RUN WELL WHEN PUT AWAY, TANK DRAINED, BATTERY REMOVED, NOW HAS SAT AND STARTS BUT SPUTTERS AND DOESNT WANT TO STAY RUNNING, KICK START WORKS, AND SOLENOID IS GOOD, BUT ELECTRIC START BUTTON DOESNT WORK, COULD BE A BAD CONTACT, ALWAYS JUST USED THE KICK STARTER, THE HEADLIGHT ALSO DOES NOT WANT TO STAY ON, TAIL LIGHT WORK. IT HAS ORIGINAL CARBS THAT NEEDED REBUILT BEFORE PUT AWAY, WILL NEED A CARB REBUILD TO BE RUNNING WELL AGAIN, THE PLAN WAS TO GET NEW LARGER CARBS BUT TIME/OTHER THINGS TOOK UP THE DESIRE TO FINISH AGAIN, BIKE IS A REAL HEAD TURNER AND LOOKS GREAT! GLOSS BLACK PAINT, ORIGINAL BADGES, THE FRAME HAS NOT BEEN CUT OR ALTERED FROM STOCK AND CAN BE PUT TO ORIGINAL IF DESIRES, NO CUT TABS/MOUNTING, THE EXHAUST ARE ORIGINAL, HAVE SOME SMALL DINGS/ SCRAPE OR TWO ON THE UNDERSIDE, MOST CHROME IS IN GOOD SHAPE, BIKE HAS K&N POD FILTETRS, AFTERMARKET AIR SHOCKS IN REAR, BRAT STYLE SEAT, STRAIGHT BARS,BRAKES WORK GOOD, TIRES ARE OLDER COULD USE NEW RUBBER, SITS NICE, LOOKS GREAT, CLEAN CUT LOOKING BIKE, TURNS HEADS, HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS/AND NO TIME TO GET TO IT ALL MY LOSS YOUR GAIN, SOME CARB REFURBISHING WILL HAVE IT BACK RIDING. Fri, 22 Mar 2013Yamaha officially launched its 2013 MotoGP factory team, revealing the new livery for riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi and their YZR-M1 prototypes. The new livery returns to a predominantly blue design with white elements compared to last year’s design which was more predominantly white. The livery also features a modern interpretation of Yamaha‘s speed block design.

Lorenzo Wants to Race at Assen Despite Breaking Collarbone in Three Places
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Jorge Lorenzo underwent two hours of surgery earlier this morning in Barcelona, Spain, to insert eight screws and a titanium plate to secure his fractured collarbone. By the afternoon, the Yamaha rider was back in the Netherlands to prove he is healthy enough to race in tomorrow’s TT Assen. The reigning MotoGP champion broke his collarbone in three places after high-siding in a wet practice session Thursday.
