1979 YAMAHA XS650 SPECIAL BRAT CAFE MOTORCYCLE. WAS A PROJECT THAT HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR YEARS, DID RUN WELL WHEN PUT AWAY, TANK DRAINED, BATTERY REMOVED, NOW HAS SAT AND STARTS BUT SPUTTERS AND DOESNT WANT TO STAY RUNNING, KICK START WORKS, AND SOLENOID IS GOOD, BUT ELECTRIC START BUTTON DOESNT WORK, COULD BE A BAD CONTACT, ALWAYS JUST USED THE KICK STARTER, THE HEADLIGHT ALSO DOES NOT WANT TO STAY ON, TAIL LIGHT WORK. IT HAS ORIGINAL CARBS THAT NEEDED REBUILT BEFORE PUT AWAY, WILL NEED A CARB REBUILD TO BE RUNNING WELL AGAIN, THE PLAN WAS TO GET NEW LARGER CARBS BUT TIME/OTHER THINGS TOOK UP THE DESIRE TO FINISH AGAIN, BIKE IS A REAL HEAD TURNER AND LOOKS GREAT! Last Year’s Surprise Podium Finisher Katsuyuki Nakasuga to Wild Card at Japanese GP
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Katsuyuki Nakasuga, the surprise podium finisher at last year’s MotoGP finale in Valencia, will have the chance to catch lightning in a bottle once again, after being granted a wild card entry to the 2013 Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi. Nakasuga shocked the racing world with a second-place finish at the Valencian Grand Prix last November as an injury replacement for then-Yamaha factory rider Ben Spies. Nakasuga made the cagey decision to run slick tires in the wet race.
