Yamaha XS description
Great running, clean, gorgeous, mostly original, classic vertical twin. New Dunlop K81 tires (period correct), brake master cylinder, calipers, pads, battery, cables, chain, mufflers, carbs and petcocks rebult. Rode all summer. Electric start compression release works great, or kicks starts easily. Also have a tank decal set for $50 if you want to make it look original.
Issues: slight oil leak from clutch shifter side. Tach and speedo flutter a bit but are accurate Delivery: U-ship is cheap or I may be able to haul within a couple hundred miles |

AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015
Wed, 04 Dec 2013AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.
Motocross Pioneer Pierre Karsmakers Elected To AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Pierre Karsmakers, one of the first European motocross champions to bring his expertise to America, has been elected to the AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame Class of 2014. A three-time motocross champion in his native Holland, Karsmakers came to the United States to gain wider exposure and attract the attention of the Japanese motorcycle makers. “All the Japanese (sponsorship) contracts were going to Belgian riders,” Karsmakers said.
2014 AMA Supercross – Arlington Results
Tue, 18 Feb 2014James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win. With his win last week at San Diego, Stewart becomes the first rider to win back-to-back races this season and establishes himself as a championship contender as we approach the mid-way point of the 2014 season.
