1972 Yamaha XS650 (XS2)
Second year of this classic British Twin designed bike with reliable Japanese underpinnings
Tasteful Cafe Bars & Seat, all else is Stock and intact
2 years and less than 1000 miles on High Compression Rebuilt Engine
160 PSI in both cylinders
Custom Exhaust is Loud and Sounds Awesome (think Harley)
Carbs cleaned, Oil Changed and Tune Up performed Spring 2016
Starts First Kick even after sitting for over a week
New Parts include Starter Relay, Gas Cap, Tank Badges, Grips, Bar Ends, Battery Tender Pigtail
Ride the bike around the city and on 2 hr. round trips to work pretty regularly. Don't get to ride as much as I used to though and I've got two bikes so can't give them both the justice they deserve so sadly I'm letting go of this bad boy.
Clean PA Title in Hand

Bike doesn't really need anything but if you want to nit pick here are 3 things that could be improved:
-Tail, Brake & Head Lights high & low all work but blinkers do not. Needs a new flasher I think. I just use hand signals when in busy traffic.
-Battery is dead. If you want to use the electric starter then you'll have to replace the battery. Kicking it is cooler anyway so I've been riding it w/ this dead battery for over a year now.
-Small cosmetic flaws here and there as to be expected on a 44 yr. bike. Let's call it Patina.

Bike is available for local pick up.  Shipping can be arranged at buyers expense.  I've successfully used Uship for jobs like this in the past.

Call or message me with any questions you have.

Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Finally Coming to US for 2024

Thu, 06 Apr 2023

Sport-tourer equipped with radar-based adaptive cruise control Last November, Yamaha Motor Europe revealed a new Tracer 9 GT+ at EICMA, a new version of its Triple-powered sport tourer equipped with a 7-inch TFT display, adaptive cruise control, and a radar-linked unified braking system. Yamaha Motor USA, however, remained quiet about it, and we later learned the Tracer 9 GT+ was not coming to the States for 2023. In fact, even the less techy regular Tracer 9 was left out of Yamaha Motor USA’s returning model announcements.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

Isle of Man TT 2012: Supersport TT Race 1 Results

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

Padett’s Honda racer Bruce Anstey won the first Monster Energy Supersport TT race of the 2012 Isle of Man TT by a mere 0.77 seconds over rider Cameron Donald. The race could have been even closer if Gary Johnson, another Honda rider, hadn’t run out of gas on the final lap. Before he ran out of fuel, Johnson was in the mix with Anstey and Donald with just 0.62 seconds separating the three riders.
