Yamaha Virago description
Yamaha XV250 V-Twin Bobber
This Bike was custom built by WildTurkeyFab from the frame up using a Yamaha Virago Xv250 as a base. The bike is a hard tail bobber with a spring seat and Suicide shifter. The bike rides smoother than most Hard tails due to the light weight and larger tires. It uses 18" alloy wheels with heavy duty Buchanans stainless spokes and nipples. The rear of the frame uses .065 Dom steel tubing with a light creme paint and matte finish clear coat. The seat is real leather and is hand stitched with medium coil springs. fuel is supplied from a spun aluminum fuel cell under the seat to the carb via copper fuel lines. The front forks are OEM but lowered 4 inches with soft springs to allow a nice ride. The engine is stock with a velocity stack intake and a custom mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust, and let me tell you it sounds more like a 1200 than a 250 and has almost the HP of a 883. the bike gets about 50 miles to the gallon and is very easy to ride even for beginners. Whether your a first time rider, a beach bum, or just looking to add another bike to your stables, this is a bike that you will love. It also turns a LOT of heads with its looks and its sound! Enjoy a Vintage look with modern Yamaha Reliability and serviceability... other questions can be answered at Facebook WildTurkeyFab Bike is for sale locally and will dictate early auction ending |

Tue, 29 Jul 2014While Colin Edwards may no longer be a factory Yamaha racer these days, he still enjoys a close bond with the tuning fork brand. So much so that Yamaha has announced a unique opportunity to bid on a historic set of road racing leathers, boots, gloves, and helmet as worn by Edwards during this, his final season in MotoGP. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Feed the Children, which is Yamaha Motor Corporation’s official corporate charity.
Canada Gets Race Blu 2013 Yamaha Fazer8
Fri, 07 Dec 2012Back in September, Yamaha revealed a special “Race Blu” livery for a the YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and the YZF-R125 for the European market. Yamaha promoted the new color scheme with Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies sporting the colors on their leathers and M1 race bikes at the Misano and Aragon MotoGP rounds. North American consumers were left out, however, getting a Team Yamaha Blue and White version instead for the R1 and R6 (the R125 isn’t offered here either).
