Up for sale is a 2006 Yamaha Virago 250 cc (XV250) with 18,XXX miles. I'm getting a car and no longer have any use for it.The bike has a new battery, spark plugs, oil, and upholstered seats. Accessories that have been added include saddlebags, saddlebag support brackets, and a windshield with a small pouch for readily accessible items. I have also cleaned the carburetor, polished the paint and chrome, and cleaned and lubricated all cables. The bike is dimensionally larger than the Honda Rebel or Suzuki GZ250 which makes it perfect for a larger rider. Official 2014 MotoGP Entry List Released
Fri, 28 Feb 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released the official entry list for the 2014 MotoGP Championship including 23 riders representing 13 teams. The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.
Yamaha Gets Monster Energy MotoGP Team Sponsorship, Annuls Lorenzo’s RockStar Sponsorship Deal
Fri, 21 Dec 2012Yamaha has reportedly signed energy drink maker Monster Energy to sponsor its factory MotoGP team, according to Spanish site MotoCuatro.com. The new sponsorship deal created a bit of a problem however, as Yamaha‘s star rider Jorge Lorenzo recently signed a two-year contact extension to his personal sponsorship deal with RockStar, a rival energy drink maker. To get around this sticky situation, MotoCuatro reports Yamaha will invoke a clause in Lorenzo’s contract allowing the manufacturer to veto and buy out his RockStar contract.
Yamaha XTW250 RYOKU Concept – the SUV Motorcycle
Wed, 16 Nov 2011Yamaha is debuting a new heavy-duty utility motorcycle concept at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Described as the “SUV motorcycle”, the Yamaha XTW250 RYOKU was designed to carry heavy loads for both on and off the road. The concept’s name suggests it may share elements of Yamaha’s XT250 and TW200 dual sports.
