1983 Yamaha Venture on 2040-motos
Yamaha Venture tech info
Yamaha Venture description
1983 Yamaha XVZ1200 Venture. Runs and rides. Good project bike or fixer upper. This bike was a
trade-in, and is being sold as is. It starts right
up, and seems to run good. The front brakes and rear brakes work fine,
as does the clutch. We test rode it about a mile down
the street, and back, and it pulls good and shift through all gears
fine. However it does pop out of 2nd gear. All other gears are fine, but it jumps out of 2nd. Also, the previous owner removed the speedometer/temp gauge, we don't know why. So there is no speedometer/temp gauge installed on the bike. Tires look good, has a newer Shinko 231 on the front and an Avon Venom on the rear I think this will make someone a good bike with a little TLC. I would recommend
thoroughly inspecting the bike, and servicing it before starting on any
road trips, as this bike has not been inspected by us, other than what
is mentioned here. Please ask any questions you have, I am happy to
answer them as best I can. Please be sure to look over all of the pictures carefully. What you see is how the bike will come. Clear title in hand. We
are a licensed motor vehicle dealer with the State of Ohio. We are
required to collect sales tax from Ohio residents, and also residents
of MI, IN, MA, SC, FL, AZ, CA, and WA. Temp tag + title will cost $43.50 added to final bid ONLY if you are in one of the above states. We will take care of all paperwork for you. Out of State and International bidders welcome !!

Canada Gets Race Blu 2013 Yamaha Fazer8
Fri, 07 Dec 2012Back in September, Yamaha revealed a special “Race Blu” livery for a the YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and the YZF-R125 for the European market. Yamaha promoted the new color scheme with Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies sporting the colors on their leathers and M1 race bikes at the Misano and Aragon MotoGP rounds. North American consumers were left out, however, getting a Team Yamaha Blue and White version instead for the R1 and R6 (the R125 isn’t offered here either).
Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.
Yamaha XSR900 wins again
Sun, 09 Apr 2017Yamaha's roadster now has one more achievement on the long list - this time the bike was awarded with the prestigious Red Dot Award for design. It is the fifth in a row for this model and the fifth for the company. Not bad huh!
