Day 5 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins Stage, Moves Into Overall Lead

Red Bull KTM factory rider and three-time Dakar winner Marc Coma won stage five today followed by his teammate Jordi Viladoms and KTM supported rider Kuba Przygonski allowing KTM to scoop the top three places. Today´s stage five from Chilecito to Tucuman was characterized by hot temperatures, lots of sand and navigation in dry vegetation. Organizers decided to cancel the second part of the special for safety reasons and also because heavy thunderstorms threatened the area.

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. Yamaha EC-Miu Electric Trike Scooter Concept to Debut in Tokyo

Yamaha is presenting a new electric scooter concept model at the Tokyo Motor Show in December. The Yamaha EC-Miu concept will debut alongside two other concepts, the XTW250 RYOKU and the Y125 MOEGI. The Yamaha EC-Miu is an electric trike, with two wheels at the rear, a design choice Yamaha says makes for a “stable, easy ride that women will especially enjoy”.
