This Yamaha VStar 950 is a one owner bike purchased new in 2009, it has been well maintained and garage kept. The bike will include a new padded sissy bar (not shown), and a new battery. The bike has not been dropped or laid down and is in excellent condition. The paint is extremely good with no chips or scratches and the chrome is bright and scratch free. Powered by a 942cc v-twin engine with a 5-speed transmission, the VStar puts out around 50hp at 5600rpm, and 58ft-lbs of torque at 3500rpm. It has a seat height of 26.5", and a dry weight of 612lbs. Day 9 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Increases Overall Lead
Tue, 14 Jan 2014The ninth stage took the field to the northernmost point of this year’s Dakar. The riders descended from yesterday’s plateau through the Atacama desert towards the Pacific Ocean. Sand and dunes challenged the athletes especially in the final third of the stage, demanding excellent navigation skills.
Day 6 Dakar 2014: Duclos Wins Stage, Palante Found Dead
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Sherco rider Alain Duclos took today’s stage, eight years after his first win in Bamako. With three top five finishes this year Duclos has proven his own increased competitiveness as well as that of the Sherco 450 Rally bike he’s aboard. In more tragic news, the body of Belgian rider, Eric Palante was found Friday morning on a part of the fifth stage route that riders completed on Thursday.
Yamaha Motor USA to Swallow Up Yamaha Canada
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha’s board of directors has voted in transfer all shares of its Canadian subsidiary to its American subsidiary, a move which would give Yamaha Motor U.S.A. responsibility over the entire North American market. The proposed transfer, set to begin in December, will make Yamaha Motor Canada a subsidiary of its American counterpart.
