2003 Yamaha V Star Custom, COBRA PIPES, FORWARD CONTROLS - Lean and mean and low-slung is the name of the game here, with boulevard bad boy styling and a price tag that will make one wonder why they waited so long to take one home. Comes with a pavement-skimming, 25.6-inch seat height and long, 64-inch wheelbase. And 40 cubic inches of genuine V-twin muscle, tuned just right to pump out serious torque from idle on up through a low-maintenance shaft drive. Then, of course, there's the look: bobtail rear fender; hidden, hardtail-like rear suspension; drag-style handlebars and beefy forks.

Yamaha and Star Riding Assc. Set For 5th Annual Feed the Children Food Drop
Fri, 18 Nov 2011Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., along with the Star Touring and Riding association, join forces for the fifth year to support the charitable organization Feed the Children in a food drop to benefit needy Orange County, Calif., residents. The event takes place today, Friday, November, 18th. More from Yamaha on the food drop: Each year, Yamaha’s employees donate monies on a monthly basis for “Feed The Children blue jean Friday” which raises enough each year to support a tractor trailer semi truck loaded with food and hygiene products for local Orange County residents in need.
Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster
Wed, 25 Jan 2012French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.
