Yamaha V Star description

2003 Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic, CHEAP TRANSPORTATION - The V Star 1100 Classic... a fully stylized big-bore cruiser priced in the ballpark where most middleweight machines usually play. It's got all the goods - a potent, 65-cubic-inch V-twin mill tuned for big low-end grunt, shaft drive, and long, 64.5" wheelbase. Full-size, valanced steel fenders, full rider floorboards and just the right amount of chrome here and there to let you know this is one polished package. The V Star 1100 Classic. An Island tour with a legend

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.

Now they’ve pulled the same trick to get rid of a Y2K Yamaha SH50 (the comically-named ‘Razz’), advertising it on Cragslist as “the fulfilment of your wildest fantasies”.

2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
