Yamaha V Max description
I am selling my 2004 Supercharged Yamaha VMAX. It is completely custom from the ground up. It was built by Jon Cornell at UFO Performance. No expense was spared during the build. It was one of John Cornell's last builds before he passed and is by far one of his nicest. Jon Cornell is a VMAX legend who holds records for fastest 1/4 mile drag race times for both Gen1 and Gen2 VMAX's. He had been creating custom parts for VMAX's and building these bikes since they first came out back in 1986....like I said, almost 30 years of building these bikes and this is his best. This bike build is showcased on UFO's website. There was a ton of money, time, and attention to detail put into this bike and it shows.
In 2011 with 6,000 miles on the odometer, this bike was completely disassembled and rebuilt including new low compression pistons. I have only put 3000 easy miles on the bike since its transformation. I've never raced it or driven it hard. This bike runs perfect, runs really strong, doesnt leak or burn a drop of oil, looks great, sounds great and needs absolutely nothing. It really pains me to sell her, but it's time for me to move on. This bike is a real head turner, I get tons of compliments everywhere I go and have people constantly stopping me to talk about it. This is an amazing looking bike and she is FAAASSST!! If you want a Gen 1 VMAX and if you want the nicest one out there....this bike is for you!!

Katsuyuki Nakasuga, the surprise podium finisher at last year’s MotoGP finale in Valencia, will have the chance to catch lightning in a bottle once again, after being granted a wild card entry to the 2013 Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi. Nakasuga shocked the racing world with a second-place finish at the Valencian Grand Prix last November as an injury replacement for then-Yamaha factory rider Ben Spies. Nakasuga made the cagey decision to run slick tires in the wet race.

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.

MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
