    this is a restored 1985 yamah vmax.  the bike runs great, looks great and sounds great.  people are always checking it out when driving by or parked. has a custom paint job...except for some small things, we really tried to bring the bike back to its former glory.  the speedometer is not the original one, i had to buy a used one so the mileage is not correct.  i have had the bike for about 2 years and put 6000 miles on it.  when i say that it has been restored, the cases have been split and we replaced bearings, went throughout the entire engine and made sure that it was sound.

    Up for auction is a 2009 V-Max.  It has 11,891 miles.  Front tire has 1,000 miles on it.  Rear tire has about 2,500 miles on it.  It has Power Commander 5, Mike's X Pipe, FXtuner's Speedo Eliminator and Exup Eliminator, Corbin passenger seat and backrest, fender eliminator with smoke LED tail light, UFO air suspension, new battery, factory Yamaha touring windshield, Rizoma LED turn signals, K&N air filter, have all factory parts to go with bike.  Have had many parts powder coated black. Bike is very fast and not for beginners.  Fluids changed religiously at 3,500 miles.  All factory recalls completed.  Aftermarket mirrors (more stylish).  Only reason for selling, have decided to grow up and slow down a little and bought a Harley Road Glide.  Was going to keep this bike and use it for playing, but cannot justify a bike to sit and go to waste and not be enjoyed (who am I kidding, my wife said I couldn't have both).  Bike has normal scuffs for the age of the bike.  Will assist with delivery between Valdosta and Panama City when deposit is made (deposit is non-refundable).  Bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove this listing, may also have a few extra miles if taking one last play ride.     Up for auction is 1997 Yamaha V-Max 1200! This VMAX was purchased in Summer 2006 with 6,000 miles on it.  It is a very fast bike:  professionally tuned with an aftermarket SuperTrap Exhaust.  It is in excellent condition, it has never been dropped or damaged.  I have had it up to speed but have always taken care not to abuse it.  The 1997 is the Gunmetal Grey model and in my opinion is the best color the bike has ever come in.  This is the original V-Max, produced from 1985-2009.  I have always had servicing done by a professional, just prior to this listing the motorcycle was serviced and a new battery was installed.  It has been garage kept since I purchased it and barely ridden the last 2 years.  The motorcycle is mostly stock but it does include the supertrap exhast and a very wicked smoked black windshield.   If you are looking for a clean, mean, fun, dependable motorcycle you can't go wrong with this one.

    Up for auction is a low mileage, nice 2002 Yamaha V-max.    I bought the bike from a salvage-yard approximately 3 years ago and rebuilt it.  The bike was laid down on its right side.  No motor or frame damage occurred during this accident.  The radiator, water pump, right side pegs, mirror and handle bar were replaced (see attached photographs).  The tip of the end of the  exhaust has a small area of abrasion approximately 1" in size (see pictures).   An authorized Yamaha Dealer inspected, tested and tuned the bike before I started riding it.  I also put a low profile custom seat and a super brace on the front fork.  I have ridden the bike lightly over the past 2 1/2 years. It is too strong a bike for me to feel comfortable riding.  Note that this is a very strong running motorcycle and I recommend that only experienced riders bid on it.   I have priced this bike to sell.  Please text me and I will be happy to provide additional details.  This is a chance for someone to own a great super-cruiser bike for a relatively low price.  I encourage potential buyers to consider a visit to look at the bike.  Please ask questions to avoid any misunderstandings.  Thank you for looking.

    This motorcycle is in tip-top condition.  You will not find a 2002 VMAX in better condition.  It looks and runs like it just came off the showroom floor.  It is completely stock.       This motorcycle has always been garage kept, the paint, chrome and trim are excellent, it is mechanically perfect and stock, the seat covering is excellent and it starts and runs like a dream.  It has a new battery and the tires are like new, maybe 95%.  There are absolutely no issues with the carbon fiber.  There is a scratch on the right side of the engine rotor cover which is minor and easily repaired.  The wheels and chrome excellent.  The two intake scoops have minor wear from knees pressing against them.  I'm pointing out a few issues but they are totally minor.     LEGEND The Yamaha VMAX never stopped living up to its reputation. Achieving muscle-bike status doesn't come easy and keeping it for over 20 years is even harder.  The original 1198cc V-4 power cruiser has a unique style, stance and look that's all its own. Everything about the first edition VMAX is unique.

Maintaince wise the oil was changed every 3000 miles or following spring whichever came first, new air filter with last oil change (May of this year) tires fair.

Better suspension and Track mode brings us so close to an R9 Photos by Dave Schelske As the tail rider in a train of approximately seven identical Yamahas, I couldn’t help but watch in awe as each of us weaved our way through the notorious Tail of the Dragon, bending the bike underneath us to our will through the 120-something corners, the unison of the dance mesmerizing as each of us took our turn, one by one, around each apex, at irresponsible speeds, front wheels inches away from the person in front of us. This is the kind of trust you build up after you’ve ridden with the same group of people for years on end. We all know that riding with your friends is fun.

One wish still unrealized: the U.S. dealers won’t be getting the up-spec World Raid and numerous other versions of the T7 the EU enjoys - at least not this year.

2024 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Review

Riding 950 miles across three states in two days highlights this Tracer’s capabilities Photography by Joseph Augustin New motorcycle model introductions follow a well-worn path: travel to the event location, eat nice meals, get briefed on the bike of the moment, ride a route designed to highlight the bike’s strengths, take photos/video, eat more good food, return home, and write up a review. After 27 years in this industry, I still get a cheap thrill about throwing a leg over a new motorcycle before it is available to the general public. However, what really gets me going is when I have a chance to log more than just the couple of hundred miles typically covered in an intro and spend some real time on the road with said bike.
