1974 Yamaha TX500. As you can see from the pics it is not stock. Lots of money spent. Everything works and has been redone. Starts and runs perfect. All electronics work including electric start. Just bought a new project and sadly this has to go. Sounds great without being too loud. Here is a small list: -Engine has new top end, pistons, and gaskets -New tire/tubes -New fork seals -New tank -New custom side covers -New custom seat ($250) -New signals and brake light -Custom front (not mounted) and rear fenders -New front master cylinder -New mufflers -New Battery -Grips, Mirrors -Air Filters Bike is a blast to ride! Have 2 different service manuals for it. Bike has clean/clear title and numbers all match. Yamaha “Dark Side of Japan” Teases New Model Launching June 11 – Video
Thu, 30 May 2013Yamaha has released a video teasing a new model it claims “is about to change the sport motorcycle world.” The video, called “The Dark Side Of Japan“, reveals little detail about the new model but promises all will be unveiled June 11. The video includes images from Japan’s vibrant nightlife and lively sub-culture,with youths in costume and exotic hair and makeup dancing in clubs. The new model will reflect this side of Japan, with Yamaha calling it a “new kind of brutal animal”.
Yamaha R6 to Continue Racing in Supersport Next Generation Category
Mon, 17 Jan 2022No R6 replacement for the near future Last month, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) provided the first look at the new “ Supersport Next Generation” models that will redefine middleweight racing class. Starting with the 2022 season, the World Supersport class (and their equivalents in various national racing series such as MotoAmerica) will add new models such as the Ducati Panigale V2, MV Agusta F3 800, MV Agusta F3 Superveloce, Triumph Street Triple RS, Suzuki GSX-R750, and the 636cc Kawasaki ZX-6R. The primarily 600cc models that previously represented the class will continue for one more season, before the Supersport Next Generation models take over completely in 2023.
2011 Isle of Man TT Recap
Fri, 10 Jun 2011The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
