2012 Yamaha TMax Scooter Unveiled At EICMA

Not one to rest on its laurels, Yamaha’s sportbike/scooter hybrid, the TMax, was unveiled earlier today at EICMA with a few important upgrades to keep it ahead of the competition. The most apparent change from the previous generation TMax is the redesigned bodywork, which boasts an even more aggressive look while maintaining the classic TMax looks. The distinctive double headlights, enhanced accent lines, and an upwards-swooping LED tail assembly all lend to highlight the TMax’s sporting nature.

The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. From custom café racers to beautifully restored Bridgestone motorcycles, a full range of motorcycling interests will be represented at BikeBandit.com AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Indian Motorcycle, July 11-13 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Classic Clubs that will be located on Championship Row include the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, Louisville Vintage Motorworks, Café Racer magazine and Bridgestone Motorcycle Club. The Club Corral, across from Championship Row, will include the Indian 4 Cylinder Club, the Kawasaki ZL Owners Association and the Cincinnati Classic British Motorcycle Owners.
