2012 Yamaha YZF-R15 Revealed for India

Yamaha unveiled an updated YZF-R15 for the Indian market featuring a R1- and R6-inspired facelift. The original Yamaha R15 was released in India in 2008, representing market’s first premium sport bike. While other major manufacturers are now bringing their own premium models to the country, the early introduction gave Yamaha R15 a solid fan base and even a spec racing series.

Red Bull Glen Helen National Media Day Thursday, May 22

With the Supercross season over, and Motocross season now beginning, Thursday, May 22, will be a media day leading up to the Red Bull Glen Helen National. This event is open to all journalists — no credential necessary.  The day kicks off at 1pm, with a press conference featuring former 450 Class Champions: Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed. Recall for 2011 Yamaha FJR1300

Yamaha is initiating a recall campaign the 2011 FJR1300, just a week after a separate recall for the 2006-2009 versions of the sport touring motorcycle. Like the earlier campaign, the recall for the 2011 Yamaha FJR1300 is for an electrical issue,  this time for the brake lights. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, brake light on affected units may not illuminate when the front brake lever is applied because the activating mechanism in the brake switch can bind.
