1982 Yamaha Seca on 2040-motos
Yamaha Seca tech info
Yamaha Seca description
This Seca 750 was bought from the original owner in DFW area of TX and underwent a full renewal in Spring 2016. It starts, runs, shifts and stops as it should and doesn't leak anywhere. All the electrics work properly (even the cool 80's LCD "warning" checklist) and its ready to ride. Clear TX title, bill of sale and manuals will be provided. This bike has no signs of crash or tip-over damage ever and by all appearances, has led a charmed life. I'm a senior multi-bike collector/owner and I spent money on this one until its right. I'm selling to fund a classic GS Suzuki build.
The XJ series Yamahas are bulletproof and included the Secas and Maxims for many years, so parts, literature and support are plentiful and cheap. This one was low use and all intact, so last Spring I installed new: tires, tubes, oem intake manifolds, oem airbox boots, 4 carb rebuild kits, air filter, oil filter, brake pads, fork seals and ALL fluids. The seat got a professional re-cover and I replaced the fugly square stacked headlights with a round unit and windscreen, making it look a little more like the 900. New turn signals and mirrors all around assured a fresh finish. The paint is original and faded in spots, but overall it presents well, too nice for a repaint. The exhaust system is excellent save for a small stain where the battery overflowed. I ride it as is and get lots of enjoyment from its smooth, excellent acceleration and assertive performance. It hits all the marks for a classic bike and the air-cooled, swoopy styling gets attention from old and young alike. These bikes also make excellent customs/cafe racers due to availability of 4into1 exhausts, and tank/seat combos, etc...either way, its a winner and a lot of bang for the buck! Be sure to review payment terms above. Thanks for looking. |
