Yamaha Road Star description

This is a beautiful ride. I am the second owner but bought her with 42 original miles.  She has been well kept and clean. My wife and I are fair weather riders and enjoy day or weekend riding. I have kept the bike in the  garage and she was used for distance riding  and not utility with almost no interstate/highway time. We are blessed to live in an area were there are few Traffic lights and good roads with the Blue Ridge parkway as our main road with lots of jump off points to reach well into Virginia, West Virginia,Tennessee, and Georgia without the need for highways. We are blessed. Regular maintenance is preformed to include pre summer carburetor cleanings. You will enjoy how she feels as you cruise with the weight being well balanced and the ride is smooth. I keep nitrous in the tires so she is easy to stop, start, and take curves without feeling like your trying to push a pig around a corner. The pipes sound great as you are cruising around 50-60 mph but are not so load that they distract from conversation. My favorite sound from these pipes is  when your cruising at between 25-40 mph though towns with its deep loping rumble. Good feeling bike too with little vibration. The idle can be adjusted easily when riding to get that responsiveness and pipe sound that your looking for. I did not change the stock seat because it felt good and I could ride without numb butt. A custom seat might make this your perfect ride but for me it already is. I am proud of my baby and get a lot of compliments when we ride. as you can see in the pictures she is clean and gleams in the light. I keep mothers wipe and wax in the saddle bag to touch up  during rides. I hope you will enjoy riding as much as me and my wife have. As stated in the condition area, there is a dime size rub on the back and front fender from parking and or negotiating in a group ride. these are not dents. That's it. I hope you get this bike. You will not regret it.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
