Yamaha Road Star description

Bought bike with 5700 miles on it.  Customized it with 250 back tire and wide swing arm. Custom rear fender still supports a passenger.  I have a wide wrap around rear fender and a Jesse James front fender that I will throw in for anyone with metal working/ painting skills to modify the rear for a solo bike.  Sportster rear pulley and belt.  Chrome open pulley Assembly,  Extra chrome on engine, Bub shorties, chrome is coming off the billet tips.  It has bullet chrome turn signals on front and back.  Brake light is on license plate bracket.  Rejetted for breather, pipes.  14 inch ape hangers with 3 inch billet chrome risers. It has extended stainless brake, throttle and clutch cables.  Tank has been stretched.  Custom rear fender with passenger seat and backrest.  (Backrest not shown in pictures) Brand new forward controls.  Back tire has less than 800 miles on it.  Battery is a year old.  There are a few small paint chips in the paint on the tank.  She has a great, mean low rumble and handles beautifully in curves. A head turner.  One of a kind bike. Always get compliments on it.  Never had any mechanical maintenance issues with the bike.  Changed oil every 3000 miles.  Touched up rims where there is some rust. It is probably getting close to time for a new front tire. I was going to replace the rims and tires and some other modifications but bought an electraglide to accomodate the wife.

There’s a lot of it about at this time of year, brought on, no doubt, by excessive exposure over the Festive Season to the temptations of eBay. Buying old nails with a view to restoration, that is. Wilfing away over the New Year, I spotted for sale a bike that, when new, I really fancied.

Yamaha Confirms Leaning Multi-Wheeler for 2014 – Will the Tesseract Concept Finally Become Reality?

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

Yamaha confirmed it plans to introduce a new Leaning Multi-Wheeler (LMW) vehicle for 2014. An accompanying image of a test unit in camouflage reveals two closely-aligned front wheels beneath a broad fairing. The new model will be a three-wheeler similar to Piaggio‘s MP3 scooter instead of the four wheels like the Tesseract concept (pictured further below) first introduced at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.

Live from the launch of the Yamaha FZ8

Sun, 18 Apr 2010

THAT, MY FRIENDS, is our test rider's transportation to the 2010 Yamaha FZ8 launch in Marseille. Today, Jon Urry will endure 700 miles in a bazzed-up Ford Transit with other UK bike journalists, thanks to the infamous cloud of volcanic ash that's turning our skies a worrying shade of crystal-clear blue. So check back later for Jon's updates on their progress to southern France.
