HeliBars Installation Service Will Be Half Price At The Americade Rally

HeliBars, one of the leaders in replacement motorcycle handlebars and riser systems, is pleased to announce that installation labor of its innovative, patented products will be just $100–half price–during the Americade rally, in Lake George, New York from June 2nd to 6th. Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms

Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.

Lovely new R1 cans from Harris

Harris Performance has just unveiled their new slip-on silencers and carbon composite heat shield for the 2009/10 Yamaha R1. Made to the usual Harris standards the cans are created from stainless steel and titanium. The silencers have fully removable baffles helping your R1 to breathe more easily and produce a fruity exhaust note.
