I have a very nice Yamaha RoadStar 1600 I am looking to sell. It has just been service with Mobil 1 full syn, new filter, new battery with connector for battery maintainer, and new tires. It has some up grades and are as follows: Vance and Hines long shots, stiletto gel seat, custom led front turn signals and rear bullet style signals, custom tag frame mount with factory turn signal delete, de-badged and a few chrome covers here and there. The bike only has just over 12k miles. This is a trun key bike it needs nothing, just jump on and ride. It will also come with a full front and rear lowering kit that was never installed. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will get back to you asap. I will not be a part of any shipping arrangements would prefer the bike to picked up in person and title signed before you leave. The final installment in the three-part series is set to release tomorrow. Set in Tokyo, Japan in the year 2017, three years before the city’s hosting of the 2020 Olympic Games, the show focuses on the exploits of three young motorcyclists and highlights Yamaha’s FZ-09 and FZ-07.

Tue, 24 Apr 2012Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.
