Yamaha Raider description

2013 Yamaha Raider, Instant Attitude Adjustment. If you want totally custom but would rather ride than wrench, have a look at the Raider by Star Motorcycles. It truly is the ultimate marriage of cruiser styling and total performance. Its 113-cubic-inch fuel-injected V-twin engine takes a back seat to no V-twin when it comes to power and reliability. And the rest of the chopper-inspired Raider is pure Star quality, designed and engineered by the world's best bike builders.Key Features:â¿¢ The Raider was inspired by the custom chopper movement, but since itâ¿¿s a Star, it had to also handle, stop and go.â¿¢ A 6-degree yoke angleâ¿¿the first ever on a street-legal Star Motorcycleâ¿¿makes it possible to achieve that custom look as well as neutral handling and straight-line cruisability: 33-degree rake plus 6 degrees yoke angle gives total rake of 39 degrees and 102mm of trail.â¿¢ Custom 5-spoke wheels carry a 120/70-21-inch bias tire up front, and a wide, 210/40-18 radial out backâ¿¿the tallest and widest ever on a Star.â¿¢ Estimated 42 mpg means this cruiser can go the distance between fill-ups.

One wish still unrealized: the U.S. dealers won’t be getting the up-spec World Raid and numerous other versions of the T7 the EU enjoys - at least not this year.

Yamaha Gets Monster Energy MotoGP Team Sponsorship, Annuls Lorenzo’s RockStar Sponsorship Deal

Fri, 21 Dec 2012

Yamaha has reportedly signed energy drink maker Monster Energy to sponsor its factory MotoGP team, according to Spanish site MotoCuatro.com. The new sponsorship deal created a bit of a problem however, as Yamaha‘s star rider Jorge Lorenzo recently signed a two-year contact extension to his personal sponsorship deal with RockStar, a rival energy drink maker. To get around this sticky situation, MotoCuatro reports Yamaha will invoke a clause in Lorenzo’s contract allowing the manufacturer to veto and buy out his RockStar contract.
