Yamaha RT1 description

No Reserve Auction

1970 Yamaha RT1; beautiful survivor with 4803 miles. No Reserve.

Two Owner (one owner for 35 years) Street Legal Dual Sport Enduro. Clear Colorado Title. It has been well cared for. This is a great running, mostly original, unrestored example of a very collectible bike. Its hard to find an RT1 in this shape. Every time I take it out someone stops me and wants to talk about it.

Starts first kick every time, no leaks anywhere, idles even, no smoke, shifts great, pulls hard, and has a ton of compression. It can be hazardous to kick without boots. It has no cylinder pressure release valve. Oil injection system is working. Speedometer and odometer have no fade and work as they should. Brakes work great. Both tires are in good shape with no dry rot. Tank cleaned by Colorado Radiator Service here in Denver. Inline fuel filter added. Case oil is fresh. The rubber and chrome are original and in great shape. No rust anywhere. There are scratches and two small dents in the tank. There is no rust in the tank. The seat has some cracking on the left rear side.  The only issues are: the shocks are original and the bike blows bulbs in the gauges and rear brake light. I put a new battery in it so its probably the voltage regulator. The rear brake light assembly and front fender are period correct but not original. It is missing the turn signals.

Bid with confidence. I have sold several motorcycles and pinballs on ebay to happy customers. If you have any questions please send me a private message and I will give you my phone number.

Shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this an easy experience for the buyer. No international shipping.

Bike is for sale locally. I reserve the right to cancel the auction early.

Payment is due within 3 days of the auction ending. $300 Deposit due 24 hours after auction close. I will accept the balance of payment in the following ways. Paypal, cash in person, USPS money orders, or certified bank check.

 Thanks for looking,

 Bill Grodeska

Day 4 Dakar 2014: Juan Pedrero Wins Stage Aboard Sherco

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Stage 4 of the 2014 Dakar saw Juan Pedrero take his maiden victory aboard a Sherco SR 450 Rally. Although not in contention for the overall, Pedrero showed he has outgrown his previous role as Marc Coma’s lieutenant at KTM by bringing his Sherco across the finish line 3:10 faster than third place Coma and 29 seconds faster than second place finisher Francisco Lopez. Coma’s performance in today’s stage moved him to only 3:10 behind overall leader Joan Barreda.

Official 2014 MotoGP Entry List Released

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released the official entry list for the 2014 MotoGP Championship including 23 riders representing 13 teams. The final entry list also lists each rider’s status as either a Open or Factory class rider. The eight Factory riders are allowed to use their teams’ own proprietary ECU software but are otherwise limited by a freeze on engine development, a limit of five engines for the whole season and just 5.3 gallons of fuel per race.
