1974 YAMAHA RD250 HAS ABOUT 4K MILES ON IT NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING HASN'T RUN IN YEARS- BEEN SITTING IN A GARAGE TOP END IS STUCK- NOT SURE IF ITS GUMMED UP FROM SITTING OR SEIZED. I SPARAYED SOME PENETRATING OIL INTO THE CYLINDERS BUT HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING ELSE TO IT. SO IT MIGHT NEED THE TOP END GONE THRU, FREED UP OR WHATEVER. CARBS NEED TO BE CLEANED AS THE THROTTLE FEELS STUCK. I USUALLY GO THROUGH ALL THIS STUFF BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT HAVE TIME THIS MONTH SO ITS GOING AS IS CHEAP. FIX IT UP AND RESELL IT AND MAKE SOME MONEY OR KEEP IT AS THESE THINGS ARE GOING UP IN VALUE MORE AND MORE. ONLY HAS LIKE 4400 mileS ON IT MISSING RIGHT SIDE COVER. ORIGINAL PAINT RIGHT SIDE OF TANK HAS A SMALL DENT- SEE PICS. BACK END OF THE SEAT IS SPLIT- SEE PICS. CLEAN TITLE SHIFTS THROUGH THE GEARS THIS IS A GREAT PROJECT FIXER UPPER FOR SOMEONE INTO THE OLD SCHOOL two STROKES. I DO NOT HAVE THE KEY. Isle of Man TT 2012: Supersport TT Race 1 Results
Mon, 04 Jun 2012Padett’s Honda racer Bruce Anstey won the first Monster Energy Supersport TT race of the 2012 Isle of Man TT by a mere 0.77 seconds over rider Cameron Donald. The race could have been even closer if Gary Johnson, another Honda rider, hadn’t run out of gas on the final lap. Before he ran out of fuel, Johnson was in the mix with Anstey and Donald with just 0.62 seconds separating the three riders.
Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).
CARB Fines Piaggio, Yamaha, Vance & Hines, Akrapovic for Emissions Violations
