I am selling my 1971 Yamaha RT1 360 MX .I had the pair the Enduro and Mx but thining the herd I sold the Enduro and now I am selling the MX .I bought it a couple years ago from a retired friend , he ran it just to keep things working then I put it in my dry garage drained the gasoline and have not used it since other then rolling it around now and then and shifting the gears dry and do a a few dry kickstarts . I used the Enduro and the MX was too rare to valuable for me to run around in the dirt and dust in my area for that I have another horse .It is matching numbers . It was run on Gas/Oil mixture but the the 2 cycle oil tank and pump are all there just not hooked up .I also had new tires put on it when I bought it and they are still unused other than rolling it in and out of the garage .The original seat has a little tear on the left side One of the pictures shows the inside of the tank .The front brake is a bit soft it might need new pads at some point .I will assist with Transportation Uship always works well for me - can possibly have it delivered within a few hundred miles -delivery fee to be agreed upon ahead of delivery .2016-06-23 04:52:50Dulzura, California, United States09800 -

For auction a 1979 Yamaha RD400F-Dayton Special, 400cc two stroke twin, the first and only year the Daytona Special was produced for the U.S.,“The King of the two strokes.” I bought the bike 21 years ago. It is box stock with a few exceptions: Expansion chambers by a previous owner; the kick stand was extended to fit under the pipes; the seat has been reupholstered (and is much more comfortable than the original); the horn needs a new switch: Engine: The bike was thoroughly serviced in September (New plugs, points and condenser; carbs and oil pump sync’ed, carbs cleaned,) and it starts first kick. It pulls and revs hard on the power band and that beautiful two stroke purr when idling. It dyno’ed at 48 HP (Stock is 40HP) . The battery was replaced two years ago. The engine has not been ported or polished. No mods what so ever, save the chambers. Great project bike heads are daytona special carbs are oversize set up to run premix although still has the oil pump i got this to restore but just have to many bikes tank is good inside front brake works I sent the rear master out and had it resleeved as I do not like the replacement options so it is included I installed a battery last year and started the bike battery was draining so i replaced the regulator no further problem so it will run carbs seemed to be synced and jetted well i dont have much moore info as i did not ride it on the road more than a quick test trip.will need some tlc but a great start .not race ready but if you can turn some wrenches you will have a great classic bike.2016-06-14 15:32:55Tucson, Arizona, United States497200 -

Up For sale is my beautiful 1975 RD350. I bought this bike from the son of the original owner and it had been stored in his barn for the majority of its life. It only has 3700 MILES on it. This bike fires right up and has plenty of power! the chrome shines wonderfully with very little pitting and scratches. The paint is glows gorgeously with very few flaws for its age. There are a couple chips and scratches that were documented in the pictures and no fading whatsoever. The only things that I have done to it was replace the brake light switch, replace the spark plugs, charge the battery, washed the bike up and clean the carbs. I also partially cleaned the inside of the gas tank with very gentle biodegradable tank cleaner (Workshop Hero- Metal Rescue) and it will clean up great! Everything works on this bike! Featuring the world’s largest-displacement air-cooled Inline-Four engine in production, the XJR1300 lives on in 2015 with a new custom-inspired look and a cafe racer variant. The 2015 XJR1300 was inspired by a custom from builder Keino called “Rhapsody in Blue” as part of Yamaha’s Yard Built program.
2015 Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage Stunt Bike Revealed

Making its public debut tomorrow at the Intermot show in Cologne, the 2015 Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage will likely be an exclusive model for the European market like the Street Rally and Sport Tracker variants of the MT-09. Polish rider Rafal “Stunter13″ Pasierbek has signed on to be Yamaha’s official stunt rider, performing at shows and competitions on the MT-07 Moto Cage.

Yamaha Focusing on Developing Model Platforms
Mon, 22 Sep 2014Following the success of its MT platform, Yamaha says it will continue to develop new models based on shared platforms, allowing for a choice of multiple models while reducing overall costs. Speaking in a presentation on the company’s business operation, Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi reiterated the strategy of developing multiple models sharing the same engine and frame. Honda has followed a similar strategy with its NC models, seeing the platform evolve to include the CTX700 and NM4.
