MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test

Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.

The Catalina Grand Prix was last run in 1958 on Santa Catalina Island, an island community situated approximately 22 miles south-southwest of greater Los Angeles. Efforts by the AMA, AMA District 37, Big6 (a smaller collection of clubs within the D-37 region) and promotional company My Cuz Vinnie Promotions LLC, have secured December 3-5, 2010 as dates for the event, with a 100-mile professional race held on the 5th. If you live in the southern California area and are attending the Progressive International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center this weekend, Dec. 9-11, do everything you can to make it Friday before 5:30 as three of Yamaha’s best and brightest stars will be on hand to meet and greet fans, as well as pose for pictures. Yamaha MotoGP rider and former Yamaha World Superbike Champion Ben Spies, Monster Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP rider and former Yamaha World Supersport Champion Cal Crutchlow, and Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha rider and two-time defending AMA Pro Racing American SuperBike Champion Josh Hayes will all be signing autographs and greeting fans at the Yamaha display.
