The last time we checked up on James Stewart, he wasn’t having a good year. First, there was the season-ending injury in the second round of the 2010 AMA Supercross campaign, an ill-advised comeback at the Unadilla National, and then a much-panned open letter after getting left off Team USA for the Motocross of Nations. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.

Rossi Signs Extension with Yamaha Through 2016 MotoGP Season

Yamaha announced the signing of Valentino Rossi to a two-year contract extension that will see the nine-time World Champion with the factory MotoGP team through the 2016 season. “It’s great because this was my target; I wanted to continue, I am feeling good and I’m motivated to keep giving my best,” says Rossi. “I am very happy that I can keep riding my YZR-M1, that has been my love for so many years and will still be my love this year and the following two seasons.
