This bike is incredible. A blast to ride and a "head-turner" too. The bike is a custom build designed by award winning designer/fabricator/builder Greg Hageman. Greg built the bike for me this past winter. The bike was delivered to me in mid-April and only has 250 mile on it. The list below is just a portion of the customization completed by Greg. New Lorenzo lids unveiled
Tue, 20 Oct 2009HELMET MANUFACTURER X-LITE will be unveiling one of their top-of-the-range lids in a variety of colour schemes favoured by Fiat Yamaha MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo.The X-802 is now available in the MotoGP star's black paint scheme, with the recognisable red 'X' on the crown. The back of the helmet features an 'Evolution of Lorenzo', which charts the transition of the Mallorcan from boy to worldwide phenomenon, in a Charles Darwin cartoon stylee.If that doesn't float your boat there will be more options: Lorenzo's Captain America paint scheme, seen at the Indianapolis GP, will be available by the end of the year, along with the NASA-style astronaut helmet used during Lorenzo's stunning victory at Estoril.The helmet is priced at 484 euros (£442) on the European market.I feel a phone call coming on...
My Cadburys Boost YZF 750 comes back to life.
Sat, 01 Sep 2012After winning my 3rd BSB title in 1998, as an end of season bonus, Yamaha UK kindly handed over my beloved Cadburys Boost YZF 750. There were three of these ex factory bikes in Rob Mac’s team; one went to me, the big man still has one, and the third was sold for a sum that was never disclosed. I had three cracking years on this special machine battling against team mates Whitham, Walker and Hislop and breaking most lap records along the way. The hard charging Bayliss, Reynolds and Rymer were also thrown into the mix on occasions just to make life even more interesting.
