This is a super cool muscle cruiser. Raked out front fork with 21 inch front wheel and an 18 inch wide back wheel. Bridgestone tires. Quality made with real steel fenders (no plastic). All factory original. Show condition. Super comfortable cruiser and is 5 star rated. Very easy to handle with a relaxed and comfortable feeling over the road with a powerful sport performance ride. Electric metallic blue which looks amazing in the sun with a factory flame paint scheme. Ready to ride anywhere. Always stored indoors, never driven in foul weather. It is the exact same bike as the 2016 that are selling at the dealer for $12,000. Current inspection, recent oil change and well maintained. Yamaha Recalls R1 and Super Tenere for Overheating Headlights
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Yamaha has started a recall campaign on 2009-2013 YZF-R1 sportbikes and 2012-2013 Super Ténéré models because of a risk of headlight failure due to overheating. The recall campaign affects 19,045 units of the R1 and 4,683 units of the Super Ténéré in the U.S. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, heat generated by the headlight bulb socket may cause the terminal ends to expand, resulting in arcing between the terminal connector and bulb contact.
Canadian Speeder’s Yamaha R1 Seen in Now-Famous YouTube Video Sold in Auction
Wed, 22 Aug 2012The Vancouver Sun is reporting on its website today that the Yamaha R1 made famous in a YouTube video featuring the rider speeding along the Trans-Canada Highway was sold recently for $4,651 in an online auction. According to the Sun the auction was conducted by B.C.’s Civil Forfeiture Office, which can seize property believed to have been used for unlawful activity. The winning bidder, 4x4albert, beat more than 70 bids to claim the 2006 R1.

Tue, 24 Nov 2009NO IT'S NOT an illusion: you're looking at the 1981 Yamaha OW53, ridden by double World Champion Barry Sheene in the first three rounds of the '81 500GP championship. The bike's owner, aircraft engineering entrepreneur Chris Wilson, has lent the £100,000 GP machine to Visordown for our stand at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show - 27th November to 6th December 2009. Sheene raced the bike in the 1981 championship, where he finished fourth at Salzburgring, sixth at Hockenheim and third at Monza.
