2009 Yamaha V-Max VMX1700, Priced almost 1500.00 below book!!!! In the land of bigger is better, a motorcycle like the VMAX has a lot of pull – literal and figurative. The claim is a head-glitching 197.4 horsepower at the crank, the claim is correct!!! Ive ridden it, All I can say is WOW!!! Acceleration on the VMAX is pretty much the gnarliest thing I’ve ever experienced. I mean a 1000cc sportbike is pretty fast, but the VMAX gearing is so high and there’s so much power down low, you gotta hold on! On public pavement the power of the VMAX is past prodigious, beyond ridiculous. Probably should be illegal, but we’ll take it. And while the 66.9 wheelbase killed wheelie attempts, the power spat out of the shaft drive is what I would call usable power, its a blast to ride!!! Stop by, or give us a call, lets talk V-Max!!! Tue, 31 Jan 2012Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo topped all riders with a top lap time of 2:01.657 on the first day of pre-season MotoGP testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. With reigning World Champion Casey Stoner ailing and unable to ride, Lorenzo produced the top time as the only racer to lap Sepang in under 2 minutes 2 seconds. Riding the 1000cc Yamaha YZR-M1, Lorenzo topped second-ranked Dani Pedrosa and his Honda RC213V by 0.343 seconds.

Wed, 30 Jun 2010With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
