2009 yamaha R618K miles on it2nd ownernever been laid down, has 1 scratch on it from the dealership banging it when unloading it. other small scratches from just being 4yrs old. tires still have good tread on it and the brakes and chain are in terrific condition.replaced the clutch cable 6 mons ago along with some wiring to the tail light. all lamps and blinkers are in terrific condition, still shine great and all work properly.aftermarket parts are frame sliders on the front and the back on both sides. the tail fender is carbon fiber. all blinker are the smaller faster blinking lamps. Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.

Yamaha reported a 5.4% decrease in net sales for 2012 and a 72.2% decrease in profit but the Japanese manufacturer says it is poised for a dramatic recovery as it begins its “New Medium-Term Management Plan” for 2013-2015. The story leading up to the opening round of the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike season was whether anyone would be able to keep up with defending champion Josh Hayes. After all, the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider dominated the competition last season winning 16 of 20 races including a string of 10 in a row. The season-opening round at Daytona International Speedway appeared to start on script with Hayes qualifying in pole position.
