Yamaha Other description

The 2nd generation Yamaha XP 500 TMAX was released into the USA market for the 2009 model year. The XP500 was the 2nd Yamaha maxi-scooter introduced, the 1st being the XP250 Majesty in 1996. The TMAX combines motorcycle performance with the convenience and flexibility for commuting of a scooter. The TMAX follows a large scooter configuration with a parallel-twin cylinder, counterbalanced water-cooled 499 cc, fuel-injected engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) supported by a cast-aluminium frame. The final drive to the rear wheel is a chain inside the left swingarm in an oil bath and the engine is mounted on the frame rather than on the swing arm, which is the convention on most scooters. The TMAX also has quad piston brake calipers in front similar to the Yamaha YZF-R6 sport bike, and 43 mm telescoping forks. - - - Contact SF Moto at 415-255-XXXX or XXXX@yahoo.com for more details. - A little bit about us, SF Moto is a locally owned shop catering to 1st time scooter & motorcycle buyers. Thu, 26 Jan 2023

Everythings installed and initial impressions. It’s been about a month since we introduced Motorcycle.com’s 2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP semi-long-term project bike. In case you forgot the premise of this whole thing, Yamaha offered us the opportunity to hang on to an MT-10 SP for an extended period of time, and since I have a soft spot for the bike, I decided to give it some tasteful upgrades to address some key weaknesses while also unleashing some trapped potential.

The problem with electric bikes...

Mon, 11 Jun 2012

This weekend sees the running of the most famous car race of them all, the Le Mans 24hrs, and to be a driver of one of the front-running cars has got to be fairly high on the list of jobs that will make ladies swoon. Speed, danger, noise, fame, physical fitness and lots and lots of money, the key elements of any top-line race series, tend to ensure that its star competitors manage to appear cool. But the latest press picture from Yamaha – publicising the firm's link with (Yamaha shareholder) Toyota's Le Mans effort – manages to strip away every last shred of of swagger from the team's drivers by plonking them on Yamaha EC-03 electric scooters.
