Yamaha Other description

Vehicle is in excellent condition, no major work needed. Vehicle has been always stored in heated garage when not on the road. 1 Owner only who had knee surgery and could not ride for a long time; now got a new bike and the old one needs to go to free up space in the garage (and help pay for it). Only 1817 original miles. Full size aftermarket windshield added else everything else is OEM. The 250 cc bike is OK for any size rider and plenty of power to reach highway speeds. Currently gets about 65 MPG regular gas. Really great for around town errands with lots of storage space (see pictures). Local pick up or buyer responsible to arrange(and pay for) shipping.

Yamaha Recaps Josh Hayes’ 2011 AMA Superbike Championship [Video]

Tue, 22 Nov 2011

Yamaha released a video looking back at Josh Hayes’ 2011 AMA Superbike season culminating with his second consecutive championship. The video takes a round-by-round look back at the season as Hayes and his Yamaha R1 duked it out with essentially a phalanx of Suzuki GSX-R1000 riders led by seven-race winner Blake Young. Highlights include the hard-fought duel between Hayes and Young at Mid-Ohio, Hayes and Tommy Hayden swapping the lead on the final lap at Laguna Seca and the title-clinching finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

After the excesses of KTM and Harley's gifts ranges, Hondas seems tame. But even the sober Japanese firm has a handful of oddities in its line-up. The Japanese have been accused of imitating in the past, and Honda's incorporation of a baby's dummy in its official accessories catalogue mimics KTM's 'Silencer-System Mini Pro'.

Yamaha R1 rider lowsides on left-hander

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

THIS GUY'S lucky he doesn't get flicked over the top, after losing the back end of his Yamaha YZF-R1 on a twisty section of mountain road. He looks pretty miffed at the result; we think he got away lightly. It could have been soooo much worse if the rear tyre had gripped and lobbed the rider over the top.
