2007 Yamaha Star Venture XVZ1300, Yamaha significantly re-designed the Royal Star engine specifically for use in the Venture tourer. The result is a classically-styled tourer with modern, powerful engine performance. Yamaha claims 98 horsepower and 89 foot pounds of torque are delivered by the 79 cubic inch (1294cc) liquid-cooled, double overhead cam, 70 degree v-four engine in the Venture. Put to the test on the road, this engine delivers with effortless power and torque to move the luxury tourer along at a pace unmatched by any production v-twin cruiser/tourer. Tue, 20 Mar 2012The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.
Yamaha Announces MT-10 And MT-10 SP For 2022

Maybe more exciting is the announcement that Yamaha is also bringing an MT-10 SP here as well. We reported earlier this month that a new MT-10 was coming, but at the time, the report was only confirmed for Europe.

The lavender sky over Bryce faded as we continued westward on Hwy 12. Refusing to pack a second visor for my Shoei Hornet X2, I lifted the dark smoke shield as I led our crew into the dark dense forest, keeping my line of sight just above the Ténéré’s windscreen in an attempt to protect my peepers from the onslaught of kamikaze insects.
