Extras include: moose racing skid plate, moose racing radiator guards, newer renthal o-ring chain, newer steel rental front and rear sprockets, 90% tread left on rear tire, 95% tread on front tire, newer fork seals, new plastics and seat, Renthal handle bars, new scott handlebar grips. The bike was serviced after every other ride which included cleaning/replacing air filter, oil change, checked radiator fluid. Never been raced. Extremely fast bike! Yamaha’s Dennis McNeal Named Chair of Motorcycle Industry Council

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) has named Dennis McNeal as the new chair of its board of directors. McNeal, the vice president of motorcycle operations for Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A., will take over the chairman position from Mark Blackwell, the retiring vice president of Polaris Industries.

Just because you have the name Jorge Lorenzo on your screen and you've won a world championship doesn't mean you'll get an easy time at scrutineering. In Qatar the technical inspection staff made the factory Yamaha mechanics remove bodywork and unbolt some electrical components in order to get a better look at the guts of the 2011 M1. Everything was in order of course but what a great opportunity for the scrutineers to exercise their power and have a poke around the most high tech Yamaha on the planet.

You’ll realize how cheesy that headline is after watching the pretty rad video that Yamaha has released. Yamaha’s new motocross bike has taken a radical new approach.  The engine is backwards. Yamaha’s reason for doing this is to shift the heavy end of the motor more to the center of the motorcycle to make it more agile and responsive.  Slanting the cylinder also made for a straighter pathway for the air intake at the front of the bike.
