Only 7k miles, NOTHING wrong with this bike, it runs nice and smooth, no scratches, no dents, no rust, no mechanical problems, starts right up every time and I have a clear title in hand. It has windshield, floor boards, sissy bar, hard chrome fat pipes, brand new quick release hard leather saddle bags ( not shown in photos ) and plenty of meat on both tires. The trendiest segment in the industry at the moment is the adventure touring motorcycle. Spearheaded by the top-selling BMW R1200GS, the segment has seen a flood of imitators such as the Triumph Tiger Explorer, Yamaha Super Ténéré and the Honda Crosstourer. A recent report from the Motorcycle Industry Council found that scooter sales are also on the rise in the U.S., spurred on by soaring gas prices.

Yamaha Motor USA to Swallow Up Yamaha Canada

Yamaha’s board of directors has voted in transfer all shares of its Canadian subsidiary to its American subsidiary, a move which would give Yamaha Motor U.S.A. responsibility over the entire North American market. The proposed transfer, set to begin in December,  will make Yamaha Motor Canada a subsidiary of its American counterpart.

2010 Yamaha YZF-R1 Faces Recall for High Engine Idle

Yamaha has initiated recalls on the 2010 R1 in several markets because of a problem with the wiring harness causing high idle speeds. As of this writing, recalls have been announce for Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. No recall has been announced for the U.S.
