2003 Yamaha R1 Super fast bike... Lots of mods. Has Micron header and midpipe with a shorty muffler. K&N air filter Slide stops and velocity stacks. APE manual cam chain tensioner and new timing chain 1000 mis ago. Power commander three and DynoJet ignition module. Has been fully tuned on a dyno putting down 160 horsepower at the tire compared to 150 at the crank factory. Has a fairly new set of Michelin power 1 track tires on it with less than 500mis... Bike is ready to go... Needs absolutely nothing. Mileage goes up daily as I ride 1st 5000 takes it

Yamaha Officially Announces Monster Energy Sponsorship

As we reported in December, energy drink producer Monster Energy has signed a sponsorship agreement with Yamaha‘s factory MotoGP program, putting its brand on the Yamaha YZR-M1 race bikes, team clothing and equipment, as well as riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. Monster Energy already had a personal sponsorship deal with Rossi but the company will now also sponsor Lorenzo. The reigning MotoGP Champion had previously had a sponsorship arrangement with rival energy drink company RockStar, but Yamaha exercised a clause in its contract with Lorenzo allowing a buy out of the RockStar deal as it conflicts with the team’s sponsor.

Yamaha M1 Engines Available for Leasing for 2014-2016 MotoGP Seasons

Yamaha announced it will offer a leasing arrangement for its YZR-M1 engines to teams interested in racing in the MotoGP World Championship. The Japanese manufacturer has signed a leasing arrangement with MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports to supply engines for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons. Racing teams will be able to lease a Yamaha M1 engine on a per-year basis for their own race bikes.
