The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Dakar Begins This Sunday!

Dakar is an international, bad-ass, multi-day off-road event and if you’re not a fan you should be. Crossing the borders of Argentina, Bolivia and Chile the route takes motorcycle and ATV competitors through more than 5400 miles of extreme riding conditions. Competing cars and trucks go even farther.

Yamaha Champions Riding School Garage Sale This Weekend

As a former student, and later instructor, at the Yamaha Champions Riding School, it pained me to learn that the program has ceased operation. However, the school’s loss could be your gain, as Miller Motorsports Park will be holding a garage sale this weekend to move many of the assets from the school — yes, that includes motorcycles. The sale will be held this Saturday, December 7, in Team Garage 1004 at Miller Motorsports Park.
