Up for Auction RARE UNMOLESTED Yamaha FZR400 1988. This is a 400 four cylinder sport bike. Very great shape, currently registered and tagged in NJ. This FZR 400 has an aftermarket Supper Trapp muffler with a aftermarket header pipe. Valves recently adjusted and stainless steel emulsion tubes installed in carbs and professionally rejetted. Hayes to Race in Valencia GP for Injured Colin Edwards

Josh Hayes will make his MotoGP racing debut at the Nov. 6 Valencia Grand Prix in Spain as an injury replacement for fellow American Colin Edwards. Already set to test the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 M1 after the season-ending race, Hayes was a logical choice to ride in Edwards’ place.

I’m biased of course, but the best one make road race championship has to be the Yamaha RD 350LC Pro Am series. Back in the days when manufacturers had spare cash (1980 to be precise), Mitsui Yamaha organised this televised championship at major British race meetings to promote the recently launched, and now iconic, Yamaha RD350LC. Twenty four riders (twelve established and twelve rookies) were chosen by a panel of experts then given a completely free season of racing with a very generous prize fund thrown in.

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
