Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
It is hard to begin with the amount of detail and effort that has went into this piece of art. The bike is a 1984 RZ350. It has an original 5800 miles on it. This total restoration took 3 years, finding parts and getting the right finish. Starting with the Wheels, They have been polished and powder coated the Gold. They have brand new Avon tires, wave rotors that are held on with titanium bolts, Brake calipers that have been rebuilt and powder coated, which are also held on by titanium bolts, stainless steel brake lines with new bearings. Brakes and brake cylinders have been rebuilt and powder coated. New brake pads have been installed. Suspension: Front forks were rebuilt. Fork end were refinished and clear powder coat was applied. Progressive springs were used with gold anodized adjusters added. Triple tree was refinished and powder coated and new head bearings were installed. Rear suspension: ALL bearings and bearing caps are new. The rear shock was replaced by a custom Works Performance shock. Frame and swing arm was bead blasted and powder coated. Engine was rebuilt( didn't need it) Head was decked and then high temp powder coated with stainless head bolts. It has new Wiseco pistons and rings. New Toomey expansion chamber that also were high temp powder coated. Toomey jetting and air cleaner kit was installed. Engine cover clutch was powder coated. Stainless bolts were used on the engine and trim pieces. Carbon fiber reeds and reed cage. All new cables. New rear break reservoir and new injector reservoir. New chain guard new chain and JT sprocket front and rear. All body parts were refinished and decals were cleared over. Most restoration have a budget and this one did not. it looks new . No punches were pulled in this restoration. I am sure I missed a lot. Oh and there are no fluids in it except for crank case oil and it has not been started. Ask questions first. Please don't waist your time by making a low offer. Thanks |

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Finally Coming to US for 2024
Thu, 06 Apr 2023Sport-tourer equipped with radar-based adaptive cruise control Last November, Yamaha Motor Europe revealed a new Tracer 9 GT+ at EICMA, a new version of its Triple-powered sport tourer equipped with a 7-inch TFT display, adaptive cruise control, and a radar-linked unified braking system. Yamaha Motor USA, however, remained quiet about it, and we later learned the Tracer 9 GT+ was not coming to the States for 2023. In fact, even the less techy regular Tracer 9 was left out of Yamaha Motor USA’s returning model announcements.
