Yamaha Other description

I love these bikes. I bought this one from an e-bay seller last February. I have not even ridden it. Drat. Was running fine when I put it in the garage where it has stayed since purchase.  It is in better cosmetic shape than my others. I know the front fender has those typical cracks around the mounts that have been on my to do list to fix.  Engine may have mods as I am informed but have not verified oil pump has been removed or disconnected and to run pre-mix.  It has FPP chambers, aftermarket blinkers and aircleaners.  I do not have the original stock pipes.  Registered to March 2017.  Don't want to sell it but need space, money, and my girl off my back from calling me a hoarder. Lol.  Confident you will love it.

AMA Sportbike: 2012 Daytona 200 Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Intermot 2012: Yamaha Unveils Crossplane Triple Concept

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Yamaha announced it is developing a new three-cylinder engine using a crossplane crankshaft inherited from the company’s YZR-M1 MotoGP bike and its YZF-R1 sportbike. Yamaha says the new Triple will play an important role in the company’s future. The Japanese manufacturer unveiled a concept sculpture with the new three-cylinder engine at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.
