Yamaha Other description

MUST BE SOLD ASAP......PRICE LOWERED.... Bike in Flushing Queens. I got a new bike coming in.
1983 Yamaha Venture Royal full touring classic, with tow package and matching pull behind trailer. Here is a true motorcycle classic.  Runs strong, starts right up, new battery last summer and has been tended all winter. This is a 30 year old bike. It's big, it heavy, it's comfortable as hell on the road. But it is 30 years old. I got it 2 years ago and planned on restoring, but time just got away from me. But I have been riding this bike, and it is fun to ride. Old time bike guys always stop to check it out, Its old, its a classic, and has lots of life left in her.
Issues: at end of last summer the speedometer cable broke while on a ride, caused the speedo needle to spin right off, as seen in pictures. Miles 51154 when this happened. I only put another 200 miles or less on it after that by end of last summer. The rear tires has a slow leak. The thermostat switch is not working: meaning that the fan doesn't turn on when temp goes up. However, what I did is hard wire a control switch to the fan. So when temp goes up, just switch the fan on, then temp goes down. Could use breaks, and a typical new season tune up.
Carbs where cleaned, jetted and synced last year. Leather is only 2 years old. Everything works, air suspension, radio, lights, etc.
If you put a few bucks onto it you'd have a classic machine. Or even if you parted, the plastics, bags, engine, air suspension system etc you can double or more you money or more easily. But I wouldn't do that. This bike is 30years old, but its strong, and can go for a long long time more.

Email me with contact info if interested. I will get back to you ASAP..........

Rossi 'training' at his MotoRanch

Mon, 30 Jan 2012

Like Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi has got his own ranch where he has built his own private motocross track and dirt oval. The above YouTube video shows Rossi training on the flat-track circuit that makes up his 'MotoRanch' located near his home town of Tavullia. He's shown riding a Yamaha, but that's probably because Ducati don't have themselves a scrambler.

WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.

Yamaha Europe "Switches On" Plans for Electric Mobility

Tue, 08 Mar 2022

Details for electric NEO's to come in the weeks ahead Yamaha Motor Europe outlined its plans for electric two-wheelers, revealing a range of scooters, bicycles and a moped. The announcement confirmed our report last week that it would include an electric scooter called the “NEO’s”, but the 50cc-equivalent model was only scratching the surface. The presentation provided a general outline of Yamaha’s approach to electrification, though it did leave us wanting more.
