Yamaha Other description

This is a rare find! 1982 Yamaha Seca 650 turbo. Has a little over 21k miles. Is ridden daily. Runs great!
Bike is in really good shape, has been gone over mechanically and doesn't need any work. Has factory power adder kit. Have been riding regularly for weeks now. Lots of power! Fresh state inspection and oil change. New back tire. Excellent front tire. No leaks. New spark plugs. Fresh cleaned carbs. New fuel lines. New battery. Serviced the rear shaft drive differential.
Bike has been ridden over 1000 miles so far this season!

I've never ridden a bike quite like this. The sound is addicting. It's 100% docile until you bring the revs up into boost, turning it into a real beast with the twist of the throttle!

Not for beginners.

Teaser: 2012 Japanese Literbike Shootout – Video

Thu, 29 Mar 2012

The last time we assembled the superbike offerings from the Big Four Japanese manufacturers to determine the alpha male model was 2009. The CBR won that confrontation, but a lot’s changed since then. For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.

2014 Yamaha MT-09 Three-Cylinder Street Bike Announced for Europe – to be Named FZ-09 in US

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

A couple of weeks ago, Yamaha Europe released a video called “Dark Side of Japan” teasing a new street bike it claimed would “change the sport motorcycle world.” Today, the company revealed its new model, introducing a new naked sportbike powered by a “Crossplane” three-cylinder engine called the MT-09. (EDIT: and we can now reveal that the North American version will be known as the Yamaha FZ-09.) The 2014 Yamaha MT-09 is powered by a new 847cc three-cylinder engine first teased at Intermot last year. According to Yamaha, the MT-09′s engine produces 113.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and 64.5 ft-lb.

Yamaha Developing 250cc Sportbike for India in 2014

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

Yamaha has been rumored to be working on a 250cc sportbike for quite some time now. In fact, the other three members of the Japanese Big Four have launched new models in the small-displacement segment in recent years, but none of these new generation small-displacement bikes bear Yamaha‘s crossed tuning fork logo. That may change by 2014 however.
