I have a 1980 Yamaha midnight special 110031,000misBRAND new back tire(under 400mis on it)It needs new seals, and wires, rear master cylinder, since they are all original the rubber between the head and carbs are cracked which let in too much air but once those are fixed it will run GREAT! bought it last October. it had 29,zero miles on it and road it in the summer and i'm certain if i keep it i will die on it!lots of power. smooth riding.txt brandon

2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced
Thu, 30 May 2013Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort. However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.

Mon, 26 Sep 2011Yamaha has released a new video of the 2012 YZF-R1 featuring MotoGP racer Ben Spies taking the new bike with Yamaha’s 50th Anniversary limited edition livery to a track day. Spies who won the 2009 World Superbike Championship on a Yamaha R1 so he is obviously very familiar with the sportbike which will now be available with a seven-level traction control system. Spies appears a little bored as the other riders learn the layout of the track and when they get to the track, he calmly waits while they take off around him before dropping the hammer and showing them how it’s done.

The new slogan connects two key themes for Yamaha, the sound of its engines racing and the passion its products instills in its customers. To introduce its new brand slogan, Yamaha Motor produced a video featuring thousands of cascading dominoes.
