1979 Yamaha SR500r – Incredible Original Condition
Current California registration with original blue and yellow license plate. 3560 original miles. The bike has always been stored indoors and is in impeccable condition. As you can see from the photos, the bike is like new and is in no way ‘tidied up’ for sale. There is no rust, dents or other damage hidden. All decals, paint and seat are in perfect condition. The bike starts on the first kick (once you get the hang of starting an SR) and runs like a top. New tires, new MotoBatt sealed battery and the rubber seal on the gas tank is the only work I have done after purchasing the bike from a friend last year. A set of brake pads, full carb rebuild kit and other parts will be included in the sale. A full set of related documents will come with the bike including original sale brochure, owner’s manual and a Clymer service manual plus a second original Yamaha key. This may well be the very best original example of an SR500r out there and it is ready to placed in any showroom worldwide. Hope you like it and good luck!!! 2024 Yamaha MT-09 Review – First Ride
Tue, 14 May 2024More minor changes in anticipation of the R9 Photos by Joseph Agustine. There really wasn’t a reason to update Yamaha’s MT-09. We love the MT-09, and apparently you do too – it’s been Yamaha’s best-selling MT model for a decade.
Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another
Mon, 13 Jan 2014After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.
Team Hammer Releases Martin Cardenas
Fri, 04 Jan 2013AMA Pro Racing’s Team Hammer has released Martin Cardenas from his contract to allow the reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion “to better pursue his goal of returning to World Championship competition as soon as possible.” Though the eventual goal appears to be for Cardenas to move up to the World Superbike Championship, rumors have Cardenas landing with the Yoshimura Suzuki factory team to race in the AMA Superbike Championship in 2013 as an eventual stepping stone towards international racing. Cardenas won the 2010 and 2012 AMA Daytona Sportbike championships with Team Hammer riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Team Hammer held a contract option for Cardenas for the 2013 season but decided to release the Colombian racer, allowing him to take a different route towards a WSBK career.
