 Up for sale is my 1978 sr500 Yamaha.I purchased it new/used from the dealer in Kingsport Tn.It had 111miles on the clock!The owner didnt like kick starting brought it back for a refund!Over the years it has evolved into what you see now!The motor has less than 2 miles on it since the rebuild!I have the old rings and timing chain in the boxs and the card board the gaskets came on in the photo.Everything was purchased thru thumper stuff.Brake pads were replaced.High volume oil line to the exhaust.Supper Trapp Exhaust.Avon Super Venom's are several years old look good.K&N air and breather filter.You get a K&N spray recharge kit.3 new oil filters.New filter in it will need changing after break in.Rear set were custom made.Seen a set on e-bay for over $300!The fairing is a Ducati SS type from time machine fiber glass reproductions.End mount mirrors.Front sprocket is largest one available.The custom made seat is fiberglass cover over the stock pan.The cowel has some cracks in the gel coat.
It comes with all the spare parts pictured.I have owned several sr's for parts.The spare frame is bent and one of the forks pictured.
It has been in storage but it started up after a few trys's it will need a new battery.It will not hold its charge.I may have the stock handle bars.If I can find them they go with it.I am selling due to health reason.My bag man tank bag is also included.

Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.
